Our super awesome wedding party!

Maid-of-Honor: Patty Quan

 

Patty and Inna met at UCSD, move-in day freshman year. Patty introduced herself as "Patty, like the hamburger meat" and they immediately became best friends. They roomed together for five years, sharing memories and supporting each other through school, work, boys, and everything else that is college. One time, out of nowhere, Patty brought home two pet birds (named Whittier and Bellflower, because that's where they came from); they are Inna's favoritest birds in the whole world. Patty currently lives in Northern California but she and Inna talk and visit often, sharing exciting times together, staying close, and being awesome friends!

Bridesmaid and Sister: Shana Bergal

 

Her whole life, Inna always wanted a sister. She begged and begged and one day, straight from the stork down the chimney, Shana arrived! Shana, who Inna calls Kukalka (Gabriel pronounces it Coca-Cola), is always full of love and ready with a hug. She loves playing the piano and ukele, picking up any song she chooses. Inna still remembers when Shana was a baby, running around in her diapers and her favorite little red shoes Inna brought her from France. Despite their age difference, they are very close and wouldn't have it any other way!

Bridesmaid: Jessica Nathan

 

Jessica and Inna met four years ago. They were Danny and Gabriel's girlfriends, however, it didn't take long for them to become friends of their own, bonding over their love of historical fiction and all things literature, talking about friends, family, and life, and just simply enjoying their time together, even when the boys weren't around. They love going on girl dates, drinking good wine and eating delicious food, especially the wine. Jessica and Groomsman Danny are now married, and they have an adorable baby girl together, yet another excuse to spend more time with them!

 

Bridesmaid: Evette Roldan

 

In 6th grade, Evette loved making fun of Inna and her horrible haircut. This proved to be a strong foundation for a friendship, because 16 years later they are still awesomely close. Throughout school, they worked on lots of projects together, held movie nights, and spent many-a-night hanging out at the mall. And when it came to college, they both studied engineering, although Evette did it way out in New York. But now she is back and the two love spending time together, discovering places to eat, trails to hike, anything and everything fun. Evette is also an incredible runner, running full marathons every year since middle school. Inna isn't much of a runner herself (she prefers the water), but she'll always be there to support her friend!

Bridesmaid and Sister: Rachel Bruskoff

 

Rachel is Gabriel's little sister, seven years younger and multi-talented in her own right. She paints, sculpts, sketches (including storyboards for Gabriel), cartoons, doodles, and does everything else art. Lately, she has become an awesomely amazing downhill longboarder, organizing events and blasting down mountains all over the country. She is also a vegan baker, baking desserts that are so good, you can't even tell they are vegan. While learning the baking trade, Inna was Rachel's number one taste-tester, always looking forward to her next culinary creation. Oh, one more thing, Rachel also plays softball; see what we mean when we say multi-talented? Inna is super-excited to have Rachel in her wedding party and Gabriel is just happy to have her as his sister.

Best Man: Matthew Avila

 

Matt and Gabriel go way back. Kindergarden to be exact, Dearborn Elementary School. Matt showed up halfway through the year and he and Gabriel have been friends ever since. Roommates freshman year at Poly (where Matt got the nickname 'The Humidifier', ask him about it), Matt has since graduated from the Air Force Academy and is currently a Maintenance Officer, stationed in Europe and working and traveling all over the world. But even that doesn't keep them apart, as Inna and Gabriel visited Matt on their super-awesome 2012 Eurotrip, and will do so again at his next deployment! Incidentally, Matt is the only one of Gabriel's groomsmen to have never appeared in one of his films.

Groomsman: Mike Egerdahl

 

Michael and Gabriel go way, way back. Like Gabriel was born and then Michael was born next door two months later. Well, he wasn't actually born next door, he was born at the hospital, but then went home and two month old Gabriel and zero month old Michael were neighbors. As soon as they were old enough to be friends, they were, running amok throughout their neighborhood, riding bikes and playing sports and climbing anything that was in front of them, playing cops-and-robbers and Legos and Nintendo too. Their relationship has been pretty much the same ever since. An interesting sidenote: if Michael doesn't shave, he kind of looks like Ethan Hawke.

Groomsman: Dan Nathan

 

Dan and Gabriel met some time in middle school, but it's been so long, he can't even remember how or when. Here's what he does remember: they went to the same Temple, for Confirmation Class they made a movie about traveling through time to prevent terrorists from blowing up America (the movie was related to Judiasm because when they traveled back in time, they landed in a Temple. duh!), and most importantly, after other friends canceled, they saw Titanic alone, together, just the two of them. More recently, they were roommates for Gabriel's first year back from Seattle, where Dan let Gabriel destroy the place for his film shoots and even lent his talents to one himself. He is married to Bridesmaid Jessica, who is pretty awesome herself, and they just recently had a baby! Crazy!

Groomsman: Jordan Nevo

 

Jordan is another one of Gabriel's middle school friends. In 6th grade, they started a wooden model car company, which profited $14.06 ($13 actual profit, $1 because their math was wrong, and they found a nickel and penny on the floor). One time, Jordan did a report on Isaac Newton, and he went back in time just to tell Newton that in the future, they would name fig cookies after him (Jordan likes time travel too!). In more modern times, Jordan starred in one of Gabriel's earliest films, one of his best reviewed ones, too. He currently works as a Biomedical Engineer (just like Inna, that's how they met) and he was the one who introduced Inna to Mr. Nathan Furher, the one who put together the infamous Vegas trip back in 2008. Thank you Jordan (thank you Nathan too)!

Groomsman and Cousin: Benn Zuckerman

 

Benn is Gabriel's younger cousin, helping represent the male lineage of the Zuckerman family tree. Since Benn was born, he and Gabriel have basically spent all their lives together, talking baseball, jet skiing, eating BBQ, watching movies. Especially movies. You see, they do this thing called a movie night, where Gabriel and Benn and Benn's family all get together to watch and discuss movies. Benn was also featured (alongside his younger sister Brittnee) as one of the two fanatics who mistake Groomsman #2 for Ethan Hawke. And as a final note, Benn is an animal lover, and so is pictured with his pet lion, Simba. He bites (the lion, not the groomsman).
